Youth Animation: Tuning the Young hearts towards “God’s Call”-

In a heartening update from Sisters Nirmala and Vasanthi, a recent Vocation camp, held on 28th and 29th December at Aurangabad, saw 24 prospective candidates in high spirits. Fr Ajay, a Salesian priest, contributed as the resource person, and the addition of youth from St Ann’s Church added vibrancy with action songs and sports. The positive responses received during the PPT presentation fueled optimism.

The vocation promotion journey continued in Ahamad Nagar Diocese at Don Bosco School in Savedi. Despite the challenge of bringing together girls from six villages, the one-day program proved fruitful, running from 9 am to 5 pm. The tireless efforts of Sisters Nirmala and Vasanthi, coupled with prayers and support from fellow sisters, ensured success.

Arul Oli llam, Kalayarkiol, hosted a camp for the young catholic girls on 27/12/2023 and oriented them towards the mission of Jesus translated in SSpS way of life. The enthusiastic .
participants actively engaged themselves in the activities conducted by the sisters.

In a wave of enthusiasm for vocation promotion, Holy Spirit Convent, Kuchipudi, hosted a successful camp that gathered 27 girls from 7 parishes on 29/12/2023. The entire program unfolded seamlessly, with the strong support of the Kuchipudi community. Gratitude was extended to the vocation promoters of Andra / telengana zone and to Sr. Ida and her team, for their unwavering cooperation and encouragement. Special sessions, facilitated by sisters and two priests, motivated students to consider a life devoted to faith. These collective efforts underscore the commitment of the sisters to nurture spiritual vocations and create a positive impact on the lives of young individuals. The success in Kuchipudi, Kalayarkiol, Aurangabad and Ahamad Nagar reflects a growing wave of interest and commitment to a life devoted to faith. Looking ahead to 2024, hopes are high for more enthusiastic candidates to join the spiritual journey.

MEDICAL CAMP FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS-

at Streevani113 domestic workers benifited from the medical camp organized by
Streevani on 28/8/2019 in collaboration with family planning
association at Streevani office, Viman Nagar. The camp started at
11am and ended at 4pm. The women were counselled and were
motivated to keep healthy, clean and neat. All were given opportunity
to test for haemoglobin, HIV, Cancer etc.

COOKING CLASS FOR WOMEN DOMESTIC WORKERS.

A workshop on cooking was organized by Streevani for
the women Domestic Workers at Viman Nagar on 29/8/2019
with the sole interst of capacitating the women to manage
kitchens with creative Items. The resource person Ms
Surekha Kalamkar demonstrated 8 kinds of different
delicious snacks and taught them the process. 25 women
benefitted from the class that lasted 3 hours..
